All of our Wavian Jerry Can systems come with an EPA, DOT, C. A. R. B. approved spout. We have also added an adapter since some gasoline powered vehicles need a smaller spout to fit in the filler. The adapter sits on the spout and needs to be turned clockwise until it snaps into place. The spout needs to be pushed to start the flow. The weight of the gasoline helps to open the spout to facilitate an easy quick pour. All Wavian products have a 2 year warranty against manufacturers defects. Fully paint-coated inside and outside. Have a full, internal breather pipe for splash-proof pouring. The highest quality Jerry can out there. Original Mil Spec. DOT, EPA and CARB approved. Comes with a safety spout attached and also has an adapter for vehicles with smaller filler receivers. Manufactured from 0. 9mm Cold Rolled Steel ( DC 04 EN 10130). Dual pan construction. Unique wide channel breather for better smoother pouring. Seam welded for extra strength. Three Handle Configuration. Leak-proof Bayonet Closure. Locking pin in cap. Strengthened hinge on cap to prevent accidental bending when closing. Cap designed to hold open when discharging the can. Lined inside with fuel resistant Rezol enamel to prevent rusting. Painted exterior epoxy polyester powder coat. Manufactured and tested to comply with the following standards: DOT, EPA , C. A. R. B. , DIN 7274 and BAM - GGR001. Australian Standard - AS 2906. I have the red one and I am driving with it into the Death Valley in summer where it has 120F. I had no issues. You only have to take care when you open it. Gasoline fumes blow out with high speed. Keep your head away from the closure when you open it. **Q: I want to confirm this is black in color and what are the dimensions of it ?** A: It is black. Great quality doesn't leak at all, not sure the dimensions **Q: I would like to have two black ones on the back of my truck for a rotating fuel storage, will the sunshine be a bad thing for the black color?** A: In my opinion, color only delays how quickly it absorbs heat. So no matter what color, the sun will heat them up. Just understand that these are sealed containers and do not have vents. I've had many people at my mechanics shop mount them in the bed. I would say that they would be best to keep extra fuel with you and use them for every fill-up so that the fuel doesn't go bad. I used these for diesel so I didn't have to worry so much, but I would believe that gas needs more attention. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excelente producto *by R***O on 21 March 2019* Producto de gran calidad ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great *by S***. on 6 November 2025* Great gas can, love the spout that prevents you from spilling .
