I'm ideally looking for something that does not.** A: It’s more cloth-like. It’s is not 100% occlusive but it is quite strong. Great for reinforcing gauze dressings or “framing” a dressing (I’m a nurse). I also use it to tape over tags on my shirts! It will survive a washing or too. Irritation becomes a rash, then open sores, followed by hard stabbing. HYPAFIX DRESSING RETENSION eliminates all of that irritation. My dermatogist's PA told me to order it from Amazon because no store in my areaa carried it. I like that I can cut the exact size I need to cover whatever I am using to cover the wound or surgical site and hold it in place.
