I almost didnt purchase it due to some of the negative review but now that I possess the thing I realize how sillly some of them were.First of all...Yes it is big...but I dont think anyone really has a right to complain about that since they not only included the measurements on the page...but they even showed a picture of an actual hand holding the tool as a point of reference. If you dont know how big 4.25 inches is don't buy this item. :/.Also concerning the size. While the carabiner is indeed big...the inside loop itself is actually the same size as your average 3 inch d ring carabiner. So if your using to hang something form something else the whatever is doesn't hang any lower than it would if you used a difference carabiner.I personally like the size/locking combo as it can allow my full grown hand to grip the thing comfortably rather than trying to squeeze something that's too small. And if your like me and you push on the back of your knife when carving or whatever (dont do this its very dangerous) the way you grip and push on this knife fixes that as your thumb sits nicely on the flat part just before the flashlight.As for the blade I haven't had a problem with it coming loose so far. I did like the fact that I could make it tighter as I tend to lean toward a knife that is more tight due to the fear of it snapping down on my fingers. It "might" loosen over time I cant say yet. My guess however is those who have hade issues are those that like the ability to open the knife with one hand via the thumb flip hole. I can say that with my preference I am NOT able to do such a move and need both hands to open the blade due to how tight it is. But then my blade never pops out or becomes too loose. At any rate if it does become a problem Ill pull it apart and throw some "lock tight" in there and fix it up. It is a very sharp blade with a great length.As for the light the only real concern I had was that it has to screw in to turn on...meaning you have to leave it partially unscrewed to keep it off. But I solved that problem years ago when I found my flashlights would drain themselves if just left the batteries in them. So I developed the habit reversing one or more of the batteries. Some friends think this is silly but I haven't ever had a problem since. Now I can store flashlights away in bug out bag type stuff and they still work perfectly years later with max power after i flip the battery back...and this way I dont have to keep the batteries stored separately from the flashlight which makes assembly annoying if your stuck in a power outage situation.So I do the same with this knife. I flip the batteries and screw the sucker down as much as I want until I need it. And because I left the little plastic tape sheath on around the outside of the batteries (though do take off the end parts still so they can touch the springs or it wont turn on) I am abler to flip the batteries really easy in a matter of seconds because they stay together instead of bouncing about like button batteries often do.((As a side note...one of the sets of batteries already came in backward which made me worried for a moment until experimented and figured that out. My guess is a few people got nailed by that when they found the flashlight didnt turn on.))My only real complaint is "how" the locking nut works. I have had some professional grade mountain climbing self locking carabiners over the years and the locking mechanism on this one is rather cheap comparatively. You CAN make it work right but only but screwing it up really hard till it kind of looks and feels like the edge of the screw bolt is digging into the edge of the inside curve. Which doesn't feel very impressive and kind of feels like i might break it. But the threads are metal so it probably wont strip or snap very easily...just kind of seems that way.Also I suppose as is with the case of all painted or plated tools...the fact that these are black/colored...means they will show scratches more obviously than a pure silver carabiner would over time. (Like when you go to sharpen it or if you bang it around on the outside of a pack a lot) But...I personally kind of like that worn look sometimes. Shows I actually do stuff with my tools and dont just have them for show.All in all this is a great knife. I love its versatility. I want it for camping but I think it would work great for day to day use too. I would probably put one main ring on the knife itself then attach my keys to that ring so I could pop them on and off real easy while the big one remained secure by the locking bolt. (Not sure why some of the reviewers haven't thought of this yet but...) I can see it working really well that way then I could carry my keys on a belt loop or back pack with ease. ((Tested it out btw and it works great. In fact it makes it so the keys hang "in line" with the knife rather than poking out perpendicularly. Though it did take me a few tries to find the right ring. One that I could push around the nut but wasn't so big it was just awkward or popping off easily)) ((Also found one I could stretch all the way around the clip shaft and didnt end up stretched out))My sis can strap it to her purse since she always looses her keys at that bottom. I would recommend the purachase if you like the idea of having a legitimate knife on you or if you just want a back up knife for camping/survival. ### ⭐⭐ Tightening the blade seems to have helped but that just made the locking issue worse. *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2018* Really haven't gotten much use out of it as got it as a emergency/backup tool and have it clipped onto my messenger case. All the tools are functional at least. The carabiner does make the noise a little unwieldy to use but that's not my biggest concern. Noticed the knife doesn't always lock into the open position. It shouldn't be a problem if you respect the tool and pay attention but it is something to be aware of.The other issue I've had is the knife blade opening halfway while it was clipped onto my bag. Not sure what it got caught on but threw the strap to my bag over my sholder and felt something really sharp in the small of my back. Tightening the blade seems to have helped but that just made the locking issue worse. ### ⭐⭐⭐ I would not buy this again. *by T***. on Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2018* It's a good idea but it fails on a few points. The light is of terrible quality and functionality. The bottle opener is also facing a direction that makes it awkward to use. Lastly, the knife is great. It works good and looks good and it's super sharp. The problem is it bulks it up to the point that normal keyrings can't get from one side to the other jamming everything up.It would be a good price if it functioned like it's supposed to.
