Plus has the wool insole. These are supposed to be “water proof” whereas the original is just “water resistant” Also the grip on the bottom is a different design aswell **Q: is the thermal insole removable, such that the boot could be comfortably worn in the spring/summer?** A: fully removable. Very comfortable boot to wear in the wintertime! **Q: I am planning on living in Toronto where the snow (and salt) are known for destroying your feet and your boots! With each new pair I find they all have the same level of quality, fit, detail, and aesthetic.Before I bought my first pair my sister told me they don't stretch at all but that is not true! Get your true size! They are pretty tight when you first get them, and can be difficult to put on and take off, but breaking them in is so worth it!These are going to last forever. So cute, so comfortable and great all weather boots. I wear them in the rain, hiking, walking around town, to church, to the grocery store, to look nice, to look casual. they do it all. (In really heavy rain they may not repell all the water so your feet may get wet as they are not completely waterproof. I think it might be the mesh siding that allows leaking but in normal rain conditions (and I live in the rain capital of the United States so I go out in a lot of rain) they hold up great!) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful and quality shoe *by J*** on Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2023* Like most reviews state, this shoe is snug in the ankle. It doesn’t just slip on which if you are hiking or anything of that nature it’s probably a good feature to have. It fits very well in the foot with a little wiggle room for your piggy’s. I’ve only had them a day and a half, but walked in them while I was trying to complete my steps for the day to break them in and my feet didn’t hurt afterwards. If I decide I don’t like the tight ankle I might try the original Chelsea boot style and see how it compares, but for now I don’t mind the snugness around the ankle so much because I plan on using these for multiple purposes and I think I want it a little snug for hiking. We are going to some Christmas markets and will be walking a lot. I ordered a half size bigger because I need the toe room. Out of the box they are hard to get your foot in but once on, they’re amazing! My toes don’t rub the side, I can wear regular thickness socks or a thicker pair of socks. I have high arches and so far no pain in my feet from these shoes!
