It does a great job filtering leaves and the lid stays on perfectly while pouring. It pours very well and looks and feels satisfying while doing it. I love that it came with a carrying case. I have already traveled with it to a friend's house to share some Yame Sencha tea (from Spirit Tea). The pouring mechanism works perfectly and it's easy to clean. I have only hand-washed it as it's easy for me, though I believe it says it's dishwasher safe (aside from the handle attachment). The wood part of the tea tray has slightly warped with water/tea but still works and fits in the bottom tray. It is sturdy enough to carry around my tea as well. The styrofoam in the carrying case does shed a bit when I take out the cups, but I'm just gentle and always rinse off my cups before use anyway. I mean, for $32, I don't expect all of it to be perfect. They seemed to prioritize the ceramic cups' quality, which I appreciate. A: I just wash it by hand, but I’m sure you can put it in the dishwasher

**Q: How long does the water sit in the top portion before it is done trickling through to the bottom portion?**
A: For gongfu it is 10-15 seconds per steep

**Q: This does not look floral blue to me ? Possible the wrong photo?**
A: There are multiple colors to choose from.  I got a dark blue one.

I got the color change model. I'm absolutely blown away by the elegance in simplicity. Cups and pot stay warm long enough to be compared to more expensive sets. Just rinse it with hot water, dry with a towel, and put it away. So easy to clean even on the go. Excellent value considering it isn't very expensive. The carry travel case make this great even for picnics. My wife and family are definitely going to be bringing this along on our adventures.
