All Category cables have UTP and STP designators. STP is a pain in the ass and is worse than UTP if you don’t properly ground the connectors. You are fine using UTP if you do not run parallel with power within 12 inches of each other. You can cross Power perpendicularly with UTP without issue. **Q: Can anyone confirm 10Gbps on this cable? If so, at what lengths?** A: I can't confirm 10Gbs but if any cable can do it this one would. It has a very precise internal structure and is the max diameter wire that will fit in a cat 6 connector. It solved our 100 meter dropout problem but we weren't running that fast **Q: How long is the reel of cable? It's a little unclear as to whether it's a 100 Meter reel or if that's the run distance supported.** A: 100 meter length, we replaced a 150 ft CAT 5 cable with this and our dropouts went away, very happy with this cable, it uses much thicker signal wire and the cable sheathing is very strong, larger bend radius because of the strength. **Q: What is jacket rating? I'm slowly beginning to understand what I actually need. I've recently discovered the joys of being to terminate my own cables using RJ45 pass through connectors. Now I'm cabling up some PoE security cameras outdoors over some distance. Cat 6, 23AWG and Solid Copper are now all terms I understand are necessary when going for a reliable connection. This cable seems to be pretty high quality. It is Cat 6 F/UTP (foil wrapping inside the jacket, but not on the twisted pairs themselves), CMX so suitable for outdoor use (not sure about direct burial), has 23 AWG solid copper wires (1.2mm diameter including coating) so power transmission should be good, and incorporates a strengthening wire to allow for pulling. As the cable and the wires are larger than the fairly poor stuff I've been buying to date I struggled to get RJ45 pass through connectors that would fit. I can confirm that Kauden connectors seem to fit and offer a good crimp.
