However if manipulated a little it could probably seal something water tight using the metal tip. **Q: Will this work well for storage-bin bottom repairs? e.g. lightweight bins with the flap lids I have several with cracked bottoms** A: If the thickness of the bottom of the plastic storage box exceeds 2 millimeters, it can be repaired. Plastic that is too thin is easily punctured by hot staples. **Q: Is it normal, thremal overheat switches unit off < 2 minutes? Then 8-10 minutes to cool?
