**Q: Are they sealed**
A: sealed with foil, & very nice

**Q: Are these gluten free?**
A: A question for the manufacturer.  I bought as a present for my sister who loved this sweet.  After the war, sweets were a very rare treat for us three siblings.  Far as I know, she loved receiving this memory of childhood.

The jar is 20 cm or just over 7 and a half inches 
The one that I really like from the company concerned is lemon acid drops
