The 14500 with protection is about 3 to 4mm longer !!!** A: absolutely..as lumintops propriotery battery has protection and built in charge point on it. for unprotected batteries stretch end cap spring a tad. **Q: So even with the 14500 battery its only 450 not 550 lumens someone said ?** A: I have one of these flashlights and the info sheet inside the box says that with the 14500 battery the light, in turbo mode, will produce 650 lumens. However, it will only produce that bright of a beam for 33 min. I am using only a regular battery in my light, so I can not say for sure. **Q: Do they sell a Replacement clip** A: If the light is not too old, it may still be under warranty. I'd check before you look to buy a new clip. **Q: Do rechargeable 14500 li-ion batteries exist for this product? I've conducted searches and found products that were either single use or wrong sized.** A: Walmart (on line) sells them, ebl branded batteries. I have a lot of EBL batteries and they perform great. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best EDC for it's size. 14500 is the way to go *by S***. on July 16, 2022* This is my go to edc light and has been for years. It's bright enough to get positive id at 7-20 yards (get a modlite if you need more candela for the extra range). The battery last pretty long but I carry a spare because you can't tell how much charge is left unless you check the voltage in a smart charger. If I drop it in the dark, it's super easy to find with the glowing tail switch. It's the perfect size and weight to still be able to use your mouth to hold it if you need to, but you can also clip it on your hat or a random object. I also like that I can use AA batteries if I don't have access to a Li battery charger. Only issue is durability. They can survive waist height drops on concrete, but I'd say no more than 1000 drops before either the head or the tail switch stop working (usually it's the head - I've only had one tail switch break and it was probably from use not from dropping it). The glass doesn't break, the led just stops lighting up. I don't think it burnt out from use, but I went over a year before that happened. Oh and did I mention it's only around $30 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good pocket EDC flashlight *by T***M on June 19, 2022* It is a perfect size to fit in my pocket so I can have with me all the time. It appears to be sturdy, waterproof and the switch is easy to use without accidentally turning on in my pocket. The Cree LED is one of the best all-around general purpose units so it throws a good clean beam and battery life should be above most other LEDs. It comes with a wrist strap or you can easily attach a lanyard with the small holes on the tailcap. The ability to use AA or rechargeable battery means that you can easily find them anywhere at a reasonable cost. I would recommend this flashlight for everyday carry. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great EDC light! *by A***A on April 7, 2023* I like this light so much that I actually took my 18650 light out if my tool bag! Lithium rechargeable batteries usually last me a week or two of use at work. The only thing I don't like is that it's a reverse clicky style, but it's necessary for cycling modes.
