There are two 28" pieces and two 24" pieces that can be combined. The closest to 50" would be one 28" and one 24" piece for 52". The clamp on one end slides so it would accomodate 50" easily. **Q: Will the increased length over 48" create "flex"** A: No, I've used it for multiple cuts at this point and there is absolutely no flex, even over a full 8' span. I needed it for a desk top built to rip plywood in half down the 8' span and it worked great. The XL version has four sections that are joined with long metal rods and tightened down with set screws. No budging at all and easy enough to add/remove sections. It's an awesome tool and beats spending $500+ on a track saw, for now. **Q: Is there anywhere to purchase replacement parts for the plastic offset pieces? Mine has been damaged by too many close cuts** A: You should be using the cut line indicators to position the guide, then slide them away from where the blade can make contact. I don't even use my cut guides, I think they're a nuisance. I know (and always check) the distance from the edge of my saw guide to the blade - 4 inches. I measure where I want to cut, add or remove 4 inches depending which side I want to cut, mark my wood both ends, put the guide in place and cut **Q: does it come with circular saw plate? if not please provide a link to buy it.** A: This is a staright edge guide, nothing more. You lock it in place where you want to cut and use your existing hand held circular saw which will have a base plate/saw guide already attached. The guide on the saw simply runs along the straight edge to keep you cutting a straight line.
