It was not hard at all and didn't even get any ink on myself in the process. The only problem I had was the cartridge holder that Inktec sends with this kit doesn't work for my cartridge which is number 34. This makes it slightly more difficult to maneuver the whole thing but it works regardless and the print quality is no different than the genuine OEM Lexmark ink that they overcharge for in the stores. In fact I couldn't believe how good and dark the ink in this refill kit is until I had printed several test pages.One note for those using this kit for the first time, after you install the refilled cartridge you just have to click on one or two pop-up screens to tell the printer software not to remind you again that you aren't using a "Lexmark" cartridge and you might damage the printer. Don't believe it, its just a scare tactic they use to get you to buy their overpriced inks again and again. ### ⭐ doesn't overcome Lexmark's block on refills *by T***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2011* I tried refilling the 28 carts, and the printer refused to recognize them -- said the cart was empty and just refused to print. Learned that the 28A is designed to be refilled, and so bought a couple and this kit. When the 28A ran near-empty, I refilled it using this kit. No joy -- the printer told my computer that the cart was empty and refused to print with it. I have no idea why the cart refuses to recognizes that it is full again -- but Lexmark has clearly succeeded in making the cost-saving option of refills a non-option. Aggravating. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Fine.. BUT... *by D***H on Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2011* The ink is fine.. BUT... Lexmark allows you to refill these A series cartridges... BUT the thing they do not tell you is.. they will NOT work. All of the PCs in the house will not print .... the Macs will let me print after a 20sec delay warning.This is Lexmark issue which when I call them about they say "We offer the A series because that is what people wanted.. but we do not support it" What? They give you the ability to refill but then they will not work?
