It has two decks and eight sets of dice. I bought this because it also has better artwork than the two plain versions in red and blue. You could easily buy the other two single sets and combine them, perhaps for less than this one deluxe edition but then you miss out on the great artwork and the single tin box. For me, this was way worth it. **Q: What size are the dice? someone mentioned they upgraded to 16 mm so are they 12 or smaller? normal role for it has tiny dice** A: They are not upgraded to 16, they are 12 mm. I have this tin. It has a 2014 print date and to my knowledge, no new dice have been introduced since then. Though small, they are not the ultra tiny dice... They are very comfortable to use with a large number of players. Since this version plays up to 8 people, the dice are nicely sized for placement next to the cards during play. Larger dice might get crowded with the increased number of players. **Q: I've heard the quality of the Red and Purple versions is sub-par...how does the quality of this version compare?** A: The quality of the red and purple versions is not sub-par, they are just the original versions of the game for 4 players. This is the deluxe version which just means it can play up to 8 players and comes in a nice tin instead of box. I've played both and didn't notice any difference in quality of dice or cards. **Q: Are the dice sets consistent with the colors/ patterns with the sets in the picture? Or are they random sets.
