I think there's still some restricted cooling passages in the old beast, despite repeated flushes. Warm days stuck in traffic after car shows made for anxious moments, and my cheap import $35 electric fan (along with the factory belt-driven fan) helped very little. Then I installed this unit. Instant success, with its CFM rate fully three times the cheapie fan. Like many, I had to jury-rig the through-the-radiator hold-downs, as the ones supplied with the fan are much too large to fit through the fins. A little noisy? Maybe...
