I had already tried to fit it onto my laptop's locking slot, but it didn't fit well (another issue). That was fortunate, since I would have had a much more annoying situation on my hands if the lock had fallen apart while it was locked to my laptop.I bought these knowing they were cheap (plastic keys and locking heads and obviously poor quality control), but expected to use them as a deterrent rather than a true theft prevention device.
