It has quite a few issues for my liking but it gets the job done for the most part.Problems I have:-doesn't record video at night unless there is a sudden increase in the g's sensed by the camera. I'm not sure why this is. I have it set to 3min loop and it only does that when its bright enough out for the camera to detect motion.-it took multiple attempts to get the sd card formatted and working. It would constantly pop up an error message over an over until it just decided to start working one morning. This is also a problem when the sd card gets full. It doesn't just start overwriting the old video, you have to reformat the sd card for it to continue recording again. It will constantly pop up a message that the sd card is full until you do so.-the iPhone app that links to the mirror is very quirky as well. It took multiple days for it to finally start working for me and it only seems to allow you to view live video when it is recording something. Otherwise it shows nothing. Kinda pointless if you ask me. The whole point of being able to view the dash cam feed in my eyes would to be able to check on your car from in your house or job to see what's going on around your vehicle. It won't do that unless it detected motion or a g force and started recording.-the iPhone app doesn't allow you to delete the videos on the mirror, you can only view and save. It should have complete file and setting management ability with the iPhone for ease of use. Some setting can be set via the app but not all.-I'm not happy with the lack of large sd card support. 32GB is the max... That's pathetic. I want 1TB supportThings I like:-simple to set up in your vehicle-sensitive motion detection (during the day) and g force detection-great quality video with sound-easy to navigate menus-the mirror itself is very clear and a great replacement rear view mirror for the price. Even if the camera didn't work, the rear view mirror is worth the price. It's more of a rear view for when you're backing up. You can connect it to your backup lights to activate when you put your vehicle in reverse. I was under the impression it would record both views at once.The memory card is somewhat of a pain to get in and out.The Android app is functional, but looks like it was developed/programmed either quickly and/or poorly. GUI is not very polished.Manual states you need to use a class 10 memory card to utilize the viewing of the live video from your smartphone. Not in product info or on box, (but I could be mistaken). I was unable to view live video from my smartphone. App live video option would load, but no video. I was able to view the files on the memory card from my smartphone and adjust the camera settings as well though.I used the following memory card:SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDHC Memory Card Plus SD Adapter up to 100 MB/s, Class 10, U3, V30, A1 - 32GB SDSQXCG-032G1040HD video was unusable, video was stop & go, jerky, etc.720 was fine. Each 3min file was 800MB in size, playback was smooth.Video washes out in normal sunlight at times. Night video was acceptable. One could probably experiment with the exposure settings, etc and achieve better results. Up date: I have received a new Partim Model from Partim and it works flawlessly, with little programing involved and works right out of the box! Just had to set time and date, and with the WIFI model it will be a great addition to my van! Very easy to work with and responded to fix the problems I had!! (Warranty Information?
