I stuffed it completely full (probably not recommended but I had a lot of stuff and was desperate to make it fit), attached it to my car via the straps-through-the-window method as I don't have a roof rack, and also looped the straps through a spare tire I threw on top of the bag once it was zipped closed. For reference I have a Honda CR-V. The bag fit on the roof perfectly and held a lot of clothes / assorted household items. The straps were plenty long enough (as I said they looped over the bag and a tire and the car roof). As for the weatherproofing...We started our drive in Louisiana in the worst rain and flooding they'd seen in years, with half the roads out of town closed and our car getting drenched in the downpour. Here we had a tiny leak in one car door but that might have been from a twisted strap in the door that was messing with the seal, or that much rain was just too much rain since we were sitting still in traffic / parking lots a lot for the first 4 hours of the drive. Anyway the leak didn't last long and we never had another issue for the rest of the drive, despite driving through three separate rain storms and more flooding. Also encountered a couple medium sized dust storms in the desert that beat up my poor car but not this roof bag. We drove for 31 hours straight through all of that crazy weather and when we arrived at our destination all of my things (nice clothes, electronics, posters) were perfectly dry and intact. To say I'm impressed would be an understatement. I was skeptical that this would work so well, but I've been proven wrong and am excited to continue using this bag on my future travel adventures. Bonus: I live in a small apartment now and this bag folds up nicely for storage, something I get pretty excited about. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Would recommend this product. *by J***7 on Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2018* The bag will store a few suit cases. I have a smaller SUV and I was able to store all of my bags up top with room left to spare. I had two issues with it. The mat slid underneath the bag. Possible cause may have been that the straps were not tight enough but I had them pretty tight. Also I had an issue with the noise. I did follow other's advice and twist the straps in the car. The noise was coming from the doors where the straps came through the windows and it only happened at speeds above 75 mph. I adjusted the straps and some of the noise went away. On the way down (600 miles) the only issue I had was getting the zipper shut. I chalk that up to the first time that I used it and it was a little chilly (35 degrees) out. Did not have any rain but looking at the bag I do not think leakage would be a problem. I would recommend this product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Roof Bag. Keeps everything dry. *by T***. on Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2018* Great Roof Bag. I was not sure if the Roof Bag would work on my 2013 Buick Le Crosse, but it did. I drove from Las Cruces, NM on June 28th to Tucson, Arizona on my way to San Diego, California, and during the trip encountered high winds, a dust storm, and heavy rain and wind. The Roof Bag held up well, and nothing inside got wet. The straps are very secure, but some wind noise is heard where the door seals meet the straps when traveling at 75 miles per hour. My car does not have a luggage rack, so I purchased the model where the straps go through the car via the door/roof openings.
