Rapid Hematoxylin 1 by Volu-Sol is a 500 mL (16 oz) staining solution designed for both progressive and regressive staining techniques, perfect for cytology and histology specimens. Its compatibility with hematoxylin and eosin staining makes it an essential tool for any professional laboratory.

## Description

Progressive or regressive stain. Used with hematoxylin and eosin staining INTENDED USE: Stain cytology/histology specimens following Gill’s Modification of the Papanicolaou Procedure. SUMMARY AND PRINCIPLES: Gill’s Hematoxylins are biological stains capable of excellent nuclear staining. The three strengths allow user personal preference of speed and intensity. When used in conjunction with orange G-6 and EA-50 (Papanicolaou Method) detailed components of the nucleus and cytoplasm are readily observed. PROCEDURE: Specimen collection should be carried out in accordance with CLSI document M29-A3. Gill's Hematoxylin I, II, or III may be used, depending on individual preference. EXPECTED RESULTS: The Nuclei will stain blue with clear sharp details. The cytoplasm will stain in varying shades of pink, blue, orange, green, and gray. STORAGE AND EXPIRATION: Store all stains at room temperature (70-77.9 °F/ 20-25.5 °C). Protect from exposure to chemical fumes and direct sunlight. Maximum intended shelf life is printed on the label.
