Is this normal?** A: The middle LED will only turn green when the current draw of the headset is less than 150mA. Please check if your Headset is turned off. If not, the LED will remain orange since the headset draw more than 150mA when standby. **Q: Do hand controllers fit in if they have silicone covers?** A: I love Anker.. they make great stuff... but I agree with the Noel response... if it can't fit with silicone covers on with knuckle straps it is a hard pass for me. It really depends on what you are using it for... I'm using VR for fitness... I get sweaty... the controllers need to firmly be in my hands or someone for something in my home will pay for my decision to go strapless... because that fitness app Supernatural is no joke... you are moving fast and you are getting sweaty... the 2 don't mix for strapless smooth controllers with no impact absorption. My son uses his for light gaming and chat rooms.. this charger probably would work just fine for him. This changes the charging of the headset to the back.** A: You are not able to charge the battery in the strap when using this dock, and you have to unplug it (the extra battery) from the Oculus itself so that you can plug it into the charging base. Thought it was faulty but I now know it arrived damaged *by E***E on Reviewed in Canada on 21 June 2022* Edit: Reordered this device and it arrived in perfect condition.Both controllers (and the headset) charge perfect and best of all, no cracks in either controller plate.The controllers and headset magnetically attach to the dock and pretty much align themselves.Only issue was one of the batteries appeared to be missing one of the magnetic connectors (see pic) luckily, the black portion peeled off and it works great.Great job Anker !Previous review:Received my dock and install was super easy and item appears to be great quality but.. I noticed my left controller would not charge (the dock showed a error/orange blinking light).After countless troubleshooting I gave up and packed it up to return it.The next day I decided to give it one more try before returning it and my left controller began charging !This was short lived though, as the next time I charged it I got the same error (blinking orange).One thing I do want to highlight is that I see a lot of comments complaining of this same issue… I wonder if anyone else having this issue noticed the defect I just noticed on the Anker supplied left controller cover (see photos).It took some squinting but as you can see, there is a hairline crack right where the 3rd charging pin is located. They wouldn't charge. And yes, I read the instructions and double-checked to make sure all the contact points were contacting correctly. The batteries simply wouldn't charge. Contacted Anker, whose customer support was excellent. They let me know they were out of replacement rechargeable batteries and it might take a while for the replacements to come in. They offered me a full refund, but aside from the battery problem, the dock is awesome. Looks great. Solid. Great, simple connection to recharge the visor. I opted to wait. It was 4 months (I burned through a couple of pair of disposable batteries in the meantime) and then received a well-packaged kit with replacement contacts for the handsets, two batteries and an additional magnetic charging plug. Replaced everything and now the dock is perfect and everything is recharging as expected. It took a while (they did give me a choice to refund or wait), but Anker customer service eventually made it right. Very happy with the purchase.
