Yes, LED G9 bulbs are available but none of the available options (on Amazon at least) had good reviews.I wanted these to be direct wire as I already had switched undercabinet lights. My objective was to use the existing fixture housing and just replace the G9 halogen bulbs and holders with these LED strips.I unscrewed and removed the G9 holders and reflectors in the housing. This gave me the space to install the mounting clips that came with the strip lights and also a hole to run the AC wire into the junction box to connect to AC power.Took me about 90 minutes to do 3 under counter strip lights. The first one took the most time as I took apart the entire fixture to figure out the best way to retrofit the LED lights. I am comfortable wiring up electrical devices, so factor that in if you want to direct wire ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I am very pleased with these lights! *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2016* Excellent for my kitchen under-cabinet lights. I replaced 3 puck style lights with 4 of these and what a difference! I did not have to run any extra wire as I hard wired these lights into my system when I pulled the puck lights out. Some customers are complaining in their reviews about the light because for some of them that is the cool light. I thought so too, but before giving any feedback I decided to go to 4 stores and check the light in term of being cool or warm. The led lights we bought are definitely warm.
