The issue is the screws need to be in the right place and faced with this problem again if I were totally honest I’d take off the old handles and try a hardware shop first . Though to be fair these were good handles from Amazon but didn’t seat right as of the above scenario **Q: If I don't have my original handle, how do I know how long the spindle needs to be?** A: If you can be certain this is the sort of handle you require, I would suggest you order one with a longer spindle - as you will more than likely have to cut the spindle down to size anyway. **Q: Are these suitable as replacements for my anglian windows? Anglian says 45mm but cant see any only 40mm** A: Yes They should fit most makes of window.As the locks and latches are not made by whatever window company. Ie I have fitted thousands of locks in my career But never made a lock.
