The outlets take both US and European plugs. The unit can operate with either 120V or 240V as a source. It does not convert the voltage. It only passes through what it is attached to. **Q: the power cord seems short at ~3.3'... Can i add a grounded extension cord, or would that defeat the purpose of this device?** A: I added a short 3 ft. grounded extension cord that was thicker than the power cord to ensure that there was sufficient current capacity in the extension. You probably don't want to go with thinner cords or longer cords as they could overheat depending on the current that you're drawing through it from the devices connected to the power controller. **Q: Can you remove the rack mount fixtures ?** A: No. This is a full panel front, whereas the rack mounting is built in. **Q: Is it safe to have 2 of these plugged into the same standard wall plate?...Each plugged directly into their own outlet. Or is that too much power dra** A: The manufacturer's response makes no sense whatsoever. It doesn't matter how many "wall plates" are involved, it depends on a) the load attached to this Pyle unit and b) the ampacity of the wiring connected to your wall plate(s). You could connect it to two different wall plates (receptacle units), but in many situations (particularly residential) nearby receptacle units will likely be on the same branch circuit. So it doesn't matter if you connect 10 of these to 10 different wall plates/receptacles or one wall plate/receptacle if the receptacles are all on the same branch circuit. Besides, if you have, let's say, 10 20W LED lights connected to one of these Pyle units, that's 200W total. On a 20A branch circuit you could safely connect 10 of these units to a single "wall plate" (2000W) with some overhead (assuming non-continuous use).
