It came vacuumed packed so I wasn't concerned about the elements ruining the bed in transit. The shape of the bed with the supported slides allows him to incline his head as he's resting. The color is very pleasing to the eye while minimizing the appearance of dirt that August tracks on it from his feet. The pillow is reversible which is great as it's warming up outside. Flipping to the canvas side allows my dog to remain cool and comfortable. The reverse side keeps him warm and cozy. My dog is considered a small dog but I found the medium dog bed to be the best fit for him. He contorts his body when he's sleeping and used to end up on the floor. This size allows him more than enough room to find his best sleeping positions while still being in the bed. I haven't had to wash it yet so I'll update it after I see how it holds up to being laundered.
