Although there are similarities, the differences are enough that they should be separated. As an ETrac owner, I found myself wasting a lot of time reading about the Explorer even though I was trying to avoid it. And as an Etrac owner I also felt too much focus was on the explorer. Perhaps the Etrac was thrown in as an afterthought. Aside from my dislike of the above, the book is informative but came up short in an area I wanted to learn more about. I don't view this book as an authoritative guide on the Etrac and wouldn't recommend it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Etrac Bible *by C***. on Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2014* I bought this book after a week of owning the Etrac. I think that this book will teach you 40% of the machine while the majority is actually detecting in the field. It all depends of you're a book-learner or a hands-on learner. I'm a hands-on person but this book still helped quite a bit. My favorite part about it is it gives recommendations on settings for each field like beach, civil war field, park, trashy areas, and a lot more. Excellent book but you could also go without it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Etrac Guide *by B***Y on Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2017* Invaluable book for new Minelab Etrac user. Too bad it's not much different from the CTX 3030. Or at least I think it isn't.
