Correct?** A: Hi, no the tabs on the insert plus screws that you back out on the edge create a nice tight fit without the need for a lock. **Q: I’m using dewalt 7492. will I be able to use my guard/splitter or need to install another one ?** A: You would have to cut a slot in the back to make room for the splitter. You could do that with a hand saw or figure out another tool, or you could get the splitter kit from microjig. You could also drill a hole behind the blade slot, and insert a dowel that’s no wider than the blade, to give you some sort of splitter.
