**Q: How many volts does it output?**
A: This item is an empty battery box, designed to accept 2 (two) AAA batteries with a built in switch on/off and loose leads.  The internal arrangement connects the batteries in "series", so if "dry" cells, of 1.5 volts are loaded output is 3 volts, with rechargeables 2.4-2.8volts depending on type or empty, as supplied, nuffink!

Box arrived well packaged and promptly in good condition. I do have one reservation regarding the  design of the box, in that the batteries are housed in the removeable lid along with the switch and wires, leaving the base with mounting attached to my machine.  Had the major part of the box contained fixings, batteries and switch, with a more readily removed cover it would have served my purpose better and had 5 star review, I'm just picky I suppose. It does the job.
