It’s been years since I last looked at a sewing machine, so I wanted something nice and simple to ease me in, and this was perfect. Nice clear diagrams, easy to follow, and I even found the process of threading the machine and figuring out the bobbin a lot easier than I thought! The book has a pretty selection of projects that aren’t too daunting for a novice. I’ve already made some cute cushions and can’t believe how easy they were – it makes me wish i’d started sewing again sooner! Quite excited to work my way through the rest of the projects...next up a tote bag i think ! Great book, highly recommended.

Lovely book - just what I needed to get started. It’s been years since I last looked at a sewing machine, so I wanted something nice and simple to ease me in, and this was perfect. Nice clear diagrams, easy to follow, and I even found the process of threading the machine and figuring out the bobbin a lot easier than I thought! The book has a pretty selection of projects that aren’t too daunting for a novice. A little lacking in detail. Enormous amount of project ideas and instructions but not much on the techniques of sewing, nor the operation of the sewing machine itself. Well written, well illustrated, but short on information.
