It's shape (short and fat) makes it more stable than other boards I have paddled.The specs say it supports paddlers up to 275 lbs. Owned this paddle board for 14 months and it split down the seam and is now garbage. Used this board for paddling on the ocean and stored in the garage when no in use. It was very heavy and hard to lug around, but now that is split in half it is garbage.
