In case you haven't seen the play, the Wolf is, shall we say, partial to ladies' garments? The very mean "Lord Farquuad" tore her cotton granny dress and called him a hot 'n tranny mess!My director asked me to find an outrageous (Yet stylish!) pair of go go boots to adorn the Wolf's sequined party dress for "her" big "reveal" at the end of the show. The hunt was on, but where to start? Where else, but Amazon?! I wear a size 11 men's shoe, and found out that womens' sizes are to be a good 2 numbers up from the mens. Aha! So why are we discussing the merits of a size 14 instead of 13, you ask? Because, dear reader of reviews, I did just what are doing now; research! I am grateful to fellow reviewers who had stated their boots ran on the small side. That, added with the free returns peace of mind, led me to purchase these size 14's.The fit: They are very comfortable! Now I know it sounds crazy, but I am not used to wearing heels! The stack and extra tall heel looked daunting at first, and I stood near by several tall pieces of furniture for support, and my wife helped me get my balance (she never snickered, nor uttered any sigh of derision!) the balance was quite comfortable and easier to navigate than I had expected; a good thing, since there is a bit of choreography to be performed, and I have every confidence it can be done in these boots! Seeing 3 outstanding performing teenaged boys dance and sing in these boots was hilarious and wonderful. The boots held up performance after performance, and the boys said they were surprisingly comfortable and easy to dance in despite being 5" high.
