(ie every light on the string can be a different color)** A: Yes you can manage it individually. Depending on the computer connected and the program/software you can turn it on any color and intensity. **Q: What's the easiest way to do power injection with 5v power supplies every 2 strands? Using a Chinly controller trying to run all 500 leds.** A: I have 2 strings around a front door and if I feed them from the first string there is a noticeable decrease in brightness through the second string. I solved this by running another power line to the beginning of the second string. You need to calculate you total wattage per string, each bulb is a 5050 RGB or 3 LEDs per "bulb". Each LED draws a maximum of ~0.3watt, so there are 3 leds per each bulb (red+green+blue) or a maximum of .9 watts (0.18amps @5V White) per "bulb". A maximum of .9 x 50 = 45 watts per string (I= 45 watts / 5V = 9 amps per 50 @5VDC White)! There is a definite power loss by the end of each string of 50 leds. If you have 2 strings (100 leds) and you try to power them via the first string only you will have a noticeable voltage drop by the end of the second string (much dimmer).
