My son plays HS Vars Basketball and is very physical. He plays center and during a game, he took a hit to his nose and it broke and took another hit and it bled - he was pulled from the game. He dreaded the idea of not playing during season. I quickly did my research and decided to take a chance and purchase this product. It arrived quickly and the fit was excellent. The straps worked great and he was able to adjust to it with minimal vision issues. We were nervous but it protected his nose perfectly. There was a small problem, the seam on the foam started to separate. I contacted the seller and sent a pic. They quickly sent me a whole new mask instead of just replacing the foam and allowed me to keep the old mask. Another player on a different team also broke his nose and asked to use the older one, he did and it worked well for him. This mask allowed my son to not miss a game and he played well. He still was physical and trusted that the mask would do it's job! His nose healed and he played into the championship game and they won. This season is about to start up again and I hope he doesn't have to use it! But trust me, we would in a heart beat if needed! It pretty much split open the length of her whole eyebrow. The injury required a plastic surgeon and more than 50 stitches to repair the injury. The PS recommended three months to allow the wound to fully heal. This would mean she would sit out the whole high school season. She really wanted to play so I started to research the different type of face masks and most were to protect the nose and not so much this area of the head. Even after reading most of the reviews of this product most were for broken noses. However the design of this mask was much more unique than the others I have looked at. It fits on top of the forehead and leaves plenty of space and protection for this part of the eye. It is also always great for vision while playing. I ordered it on Monday and received it on Wednesday right before her game. She wore it for the first time during the game and it was like she was not even wearing it. She ever headed a couple of balls with it. (Not sure she should be doing that but she said it felt fine). She told me it was a little strange wearing it for the first time but forgot it was even on by the end of the game. I paid for expedited shipping since he was not allowed to play without protection. It came on time for him to be able to play and not miss any. The mask is a very good mask. It is very lightweight, and protects the nose from all angles. It limited his peripheral vision some, but he was able to play normally. His face got very sweaty as with any mask I'm sure and had to readjust to keep in the correct position occasionally. Overall, it was an excellent purchase and did the job very well, especially for under $50.
