The mounting cover for the face plate doesn't leave enough room for the rj45 cable to come out and make a safe bend, so I cut out a slot for the cable to come out more toward the end. If the cable comes out the hole they provide, it has to make a pretty sharp corner to get there, which puts unnecessary sideways leverage on the ethernet connector which isn't the strongest to begin with. Easy mod to make with wire cutters, now it's perfectly designed in my opinion. There is a better wire routing option on the back of the head unit that would be really nice if it was incorporated into the mount. The mental portion of the bracket is kind of dumb. I removed it from the plastic and made my own.
