Not sure if it’s the packaging or the way they were stored etc. **Q: Hi. will these fit a 1954 gillette super speed razor?** A: I can't give a 100% guarantee, but from what I've seen/read, the blades are all a standard size, and every Gillette I've seen over the years have the same size razor head. These fit my '66 Super Speed. **Q: Is platinum stainless double edge razor blades** A: These are stainless steel, not platinum. **Q: How do these differ from the Gillette 7 O'Clocks?** A: If you ask 10 wetshavers which blade is the best, prepare to get 10 different answers. I prefer GSB over Gillette Platinum as well as 7 O'Clocks. And 7 O'Clocks are behind Astras too. But you better try. There are sites where you can buy on pack of a particular kind. Amazon is one of them. Just for a reference: I use Mercur 23C and shaving oil.
