I was hoping for more creative designs. But, this book is great start. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ GREAT for learning Tunisian crochet *by E***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on June 2, 2012* I've been crocheting (non-Tunisian) since I was 7 or 8 years old (I'm 26 right now). I've never done Tunisian crochet, and I don't know anyone who has. But I love the look of knitting, even though I can't convince my hands that holding knitting needles is easy. This book, though, is teaching me to do Tunisian crochet, and it looks a lot like knitting. In fact, that Tunisian knit stitch might as well be knitting. It's not hard, but you really have to study the pictures, and I think it helps if you know how to do regular crochet first.The pictures in this book are really good. I definitely recommend reading the directions at the beginning instead of relying on the shortened instructions for stitches at the beginning of each pattern if you're new to this type of crocheting. The pictures at the front of the book are priceless when you're learning.I can't comment yet on the quality of the patterns. I'm working on a scarf using the Tunisian simple stitch and the Tunisian knit stitch. I decided to start easy since I haven't done this before.I highly recommend this book for learning Tunisian crochet. The directions are only a few pages long, and they're to-the-point. They don't draw it out over the whole book. I didn't want to read a 200-page book about it. I just wanted to read what I had to in order to actually get started and make something, and this book is perfect for that.Definitely a good book.
