This is a brand new Triple Chime pendulum movement. Comes in 3 shaft lengths to choose from. Comes with a pendulum, hands of your choice, hardware and instructions. It's one of the best sounding quality movements in the clock industry today! Features: 4x4 Westminster or Ave Marie chime and strike on the hour. Chimes 1/4 of the chime at 15 minutes, 1/2 of the chime at 30 minutes and 3/4 of the chime at 45 minutes. You can also set it to chime & strike on the hour only. After several rebuilds, the mechanical works finally stopped.To graft the quartz movement required removing several mounting posts on the back of the face, as well as using a jigsaw to provide swing-clearance for the new pendulum. The quartz movement is much "thinner," so the new pendulum is much closer to the front of the clock.I mounted the old weights (shells and chains) to the top of the old case using hooks. I disassembled the old pendulum to remove the weights inside of the bob. The new mechanism "swings" the old pendulum with no problem (cut-down to 32" long).The new quartz movement is bolted to the old clock-face using two, no. 1-1/4" no.12 allen bolts/nuts (center holes beneath battery case). The sound is fantastic, I did not fasten down the speaker because I wasn't sure if I should.If you have an old grandfather clock and aren't afraid to tear it apart and keep the beauty of the clock this is the kit to add. I took all the works out of mine because many of the pieces were missing when I bought the clock for nearly nothing... adding this kit was the best thing I ever did!!
