They are a standard phosphor bronze light gauge 12-54 acoustic guitar string. Unlike Martin’s Marquis, these do not have silk windings of any kind. Martin’s part number is MA 540. These have worked out really well so far and I may keep buying them unless I can find a deal on the Daddarios

Since Daddario charges way too much for their B 25 bulk sets, I thought I’d try these Martin’s. They are a standard phosphor bronze light gauge 12-54 acoustic guitar string. I've always used and prefer Martin Acoustic strings. This is a great deal, when on sale(25 sets for $68)! Not even $2.75 a set!! But, the bulk box they are housed in makes it a little difficult for me to extract strings. I ended up opening the case/box and storing them straight on a shelf, and cutting a tiny hole in the plastic near the "ball-ends" and extracting them as needed. Putting a piece of tape over the hole will keep them fresh and from oxidation and/or humidity. You can also put a small silica gel pack in each plastic bag. I don't think there is a better deal on this quality of string, anywhere?
