**Q: I used the bit they provided to drill a hole, but it's coming out too big, the rod is loose in it.  What to do?  use a smaller bit?**
A: The hole I  drilled was fine.  One thing I  have done is place a cork in the hole when not in use as my foundation stump is left outsie.  Would use smaller drill if hole is too large.

**Q: Where can I get the rubber damper that is between the two washers?**
A: Not sure but you may be able to get something like it at a hardware store such as lowes or home depot

**Q: Will this work for green or unseasoned wood?**
A: I find that green wood often splits more easily.
