Listed as both but 1/16th inch is actually 1.587 and will be too big for 1.5mm pins ???** A: Old question but as of early 2021 they are 1.5mm (actually .0597 on a mic...1.516mm) at the tip and are correctly slightly relieved for the rest of the length (.0565). If those pins are accurate you may need to look at a quality watchmaker's punch which would do ok as long as the fit isn't too terribly snug or frozen (center punch can be used to get it started...smarter approach, too). This was a replacement for one I got in the 90s but I never bothered to measure that old one. **Q: The picture is for a set of punches but the description is only for an 1/8" punch. What will the buyer receive?** A: One only for that price. The 1/8" is the third smallest in the set shown (approx. 2 o'clock position). It is cheaper to purchase entire set if you think you may need them all. **Q: what kind of "hardened steel" are used for these punches?** A: Tool steel.
