( i think i read somewhere that they don’t make it wider for safety reasons). 2.Sometime you get non uniform shapes because of the way the food comes in contact with the blades. 3. You can only make short fries, due to the position potatoes fit on the blade. Overall, i really love it and would highly recommend it. If you wash it right after use and use the brush/stick to avoid getting your fingers near the blade, you should be fine.
