That is the reason why I bought these filters thinking that they were sealed on the ends. The filters I received are not like the ones in the photo they do not have the sealed ends and the pleats are open. The pictures on the box are not representative of what you're getting inside. I believe this gives a false impression of the quality of the filter. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well made and worth the money when doing 10,000 mile plus oil changes. *by C***Y on Reviewed in the United States on 25 September 2017* 2012 Toyota Highlander 3.5 v6. Filter is very well made and is one of only 3 choices with metal end caps. Amsoil and Royal Purple have metal end caps and fully synthetic media. Mobil 1 has a semi-synthetic media. Also Amsoil and Royal Purple are close to or over $20 each. Purolator Boss fileter is full synthetic and about $20. The end caps of this filter are plastic. Toyota sells a full synthetic oil filter with metal end caps for about $13 made for their TRD line of performance products. All of the rest of the oil filters for this application do not have end caps.
