These pads are advertised as sterile. They keep the burn away in all three scenarios. I’ve had a really bad sunburn and put these on one side of my back and not the other to test it out. The side that didn’t have these on overnight stayed red and blistered. The side that had them overnight was pink the next morning and no blusters. I could see the outline very clearly. I’ve used them after laser therapy and it keeps the burn at bay while keeping skin moisturized.
