I've had it for about a few months now and haven't had any issues with it. Love the length of the leash. I've bought a 8 ft. leash that was too short so I returned that leash for this 16 ft leash. The taped leashes are better then the cord leashes because the cord could give you whip lash on your legs if your pup runs around you. So I prefer the tape ones better (which this one is a tape leash). When looking for a leash look for the words tape or cord because sometimes it's hard to tell by looking just at the picture. This leash came just as pictured. I didn't have trouble with my lock button like some of the reviewers stated.
