One of the primary reasons I purchased this was to increase the amount of light in my Family Room. I am now looking to buy the brighter LED Bulbs to get the light output that I was wanting. I like the appearance and function just not the light output.Update: I replaced the light bulbs with 100 watt rated LED bulbs in the Daylight color range and now love the light output. We really like this ceiling fan and light set-up, the remote control works great and the amount of control you have over fine adjustments is fantastic. The no other ceiling fan we have had has been able to produce the this amount of air flow and quiet operation. However, unlike the Wal-Mart shopping, sixth-grade educated, cross-eyed, one-fry-short-of-a-happy-meal, lightbulb-socket-licking halfwit above me, I bought this as a correctly-sized replacement for my bedroom ceiling fan.
