I have never tried to see what is on a SIM card before. I have a SIM card from a cancelled account and took a look. I was hoping to see my old contact list but it wasn't there(I tried to find it by just connecting the phone to my computer but this phone is too old and very little information was available that way also). So, I wondered if this really worked. To test it, I tried writing contact information onto the SIM card. It worked! I was able to read it back and also erase it(by writing null information over it). I was also able to read basic configuration information from the card. Of course, you can't do anything with a SIM card until you install the software from the included disk. You may find that reading a SIM card is disappointing, but this will read whatever is on it. ### ⭐ Buyer Beware *by S***K on September 29, 2017* UPDATE: There is NOTHING on the disc that came with this junk. No software at all. Not to mention the SIM card falls into the body and has to be shaken out each time you use it.This does not function as it is advertised and it does not come with the fundamental software needed to use it if it did.Software is on a mini disc, which would be fine if you're using a CD rom made in the 90's, or you're a desktop user. It needs to be provided for people using machines with no CD or without a tray. The unit is cheap. The SIM cards get stuck inside and have to be shaken loose to get them out.
