I just tried cramming a standard crayola crayon through there, and the holders strip the paper from the crayon. I doubt that you will be able to cram them on without breaking the crayon.These are perfect only for standard lead pencils (works great) and skinny ballpoint pens. **Q: What about the fat kindergarten pencil?** A: No- they won't fit on that. They are even pretty hard to get on regular pencils, but then once they are on, they can't be pulled off- which is a good thing  **Q: Do these grips fit regular pencils?** A: Yes. They are impossible to get on unless you oil the pencil first--as one reviewer suggested. Use any oil or Goo-Gone. They work only with pencils, not even with stick pens. The stiffness isn't a problem for me because I don't need them to cushion my fingers.
