Says it's compatible with 3018, should I modify the connector?** A: I don't know, the 3018 pro I purchased ran for only about 10 hours and only and lost power, checked power input and out put, 0 volts DC, Sainsmart sent new power supply. Hooked up and same thing happened, noticed spark when inserting power, still trying to get answer from Sainsmart. **Q: How long is the cable?** A: the cable is 1 meter long for each switch **Q: The current Genmitsu controller have only 2 wires for limit switches, is there cable adapters?** A: Sounds like you have the Pro vs the Prover. I don't think the pro controller box can handle the Z limit switch. I purchased the Prover controller to replace the original controller to do this. **Q: Are there any directions included with these switches? Mounting hardware?** A: No instructions included, and they came with only that which is pictured. Youtube has many tutorials on installation and 8f you need mounting hardware, you can find these free on thingiverse as STL files to print out, or as in my case, adapt and print for our 3018 CNC. Good luck! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good *by W***U on 5 November 2025* Good ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ No more crunching *by P***S on 12 January 2024* About time \i bought some limit switches to stop that awful crunching sound when it trys to overun. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A useful addition to a mini CNC machine *by G***N on 25 May 2025* It's a bit of a cheek knocking a star off because these didn't fit directly onto my machine since it's not a Gemritsu, but that's life. I had to 3D print some simple brackets to fit these, and cut the three way sockets off one end of the cables and fit two ways instead. On a good note, the six cables supplied were so long each one made two of the cables I needed, so I have three spare. Once fitted the machine does a 'zeroing' operation on command, so if the machine hangs part way through a job it can easily be restarted with the same reference position. Only snag is it sets the Z origin at the bottom of the travel - this is logical, but since it does Z first means it will smash the tool into the bed unless you manually jog the X and Y so the tool is off the bed before starting a Zero or Home operation. I found a work around was to perform a Zero, then jog the tool up 30mm and close the software, once reopened the Home position is set 30mm above the bed.
