It has held up really well, with the spike holding up to near catches as expected.So far we haven't had the need for using the string, but we are well versed in string replacement on Kendamas and it shouldn't be a problem with this one.I find it harder to use than a regular sized Kendama, but I think that is to be expected and the size difference is exactly why he wanted it in the first place.He recommends 5 stars, but I'm rating 4 because the sticky description is slightly misleading.Overall, we recommend this and have had a lot of fun playing with it.
