I first heard about this product from Ben Greenfield on his podcast. The only personal caveat that I had to try it out was that the basic formula for this is promoted by Dr. Minkoff (Google him and Scientology). I am not at all a "supplement" guy. I prefer to eat real food to source all my needs for nutrition. I've read a few anecdotal items of ultra runners who swear by this for recovery. As a person who eats ketogenic (lost over 60lbs and 15% body fat in a year) And is in my forties, I don't recover from intense workouts as quick as I did when younger. (Duh).So I decide to try this out and see if it's a giant white placebo pill or if it works.My conclusion...it works. Really works. I purchased one bottle and decided to run through it at the "RX" dose of 10 prior to a workout and 5-10 through the day. I was hesitant to credit the MAP as working so good...I thought it might just be a placebo.I head to my CrossFit workouts fasted, so I was concerned that this would tear my stomach up. Especially after 10 tablets of this size. Nope. Nada. I take them one at a time with a few ounces of water and am fine through a workout. Quite surprising.I still wasn't convinced that it was the MAP. I used one bottle and then tried a break of 3 weeks. Guess what? I missed the MAP!So what does it do?! I can't say I feel a big bump in energy during workouts, but a noticeable increase in my fatigue threshold. The real magic is that it cuts my recovery time by more than half. Yeah. Really.On heavy days it's not unusual for me to feel sore up to 72 hours out. When I take the MAP it's less than one day! I will definitely say that my overall strength gains are more consistent on the MAP.I've found my sweet spot to taking it...10 prior to a workout or run, then 5 later that day. On off days I take 5 during the day.I would highly recommend you try it if you're on the fence. This is my ONLY supplement that I take. I swear by it now and have been using it for over 6 months now.Try it. See for yourself. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If I could only take one supplement this would be it *by C***O on November 9, 2014* By far the best amino formula for lean gains, mental clarity and hormonal balance. I have tried (all of the) others and even making my own formula but always return to MAP. Don't settle for the imitators, this is the balance you want. I have recommended this product to many many friends and regardless of age or gender they always lose fat and gain muscle even without changing diet. I have three teenage kids and they all take it. The boy notices improvements in his workouts, recovery and gains greater than any other supplement, protien or stimulant. The girls tell me their skin clears and monthly cycles easy (well definitely easier on me at least, feed them chocolate and MAP, run far away). Very important to take on empty stomach first thing in morning half hour before eating anything else. Difficult to swallow the dry chalky tabs but just chew them up, doesn't taste great at first. Start with 5 in morning for two weeks to notice effects if not before.Then try bumping dose. I have done as many as 20 a day (150 lbs) and continued to feel benefits without any side effects what so ever. You can add some micronized glutamine and other aminos later in the day without changing the effect but make MAP your primary, first and isolated amino dose of the day. The science is sound, check their website and read about "NNU"I would even stay at that 20 tab a day dose if I could do that and continue to feed my entire family these as well. I have to continually order to keep on the shelf at my house. Every time I've run out i start noticing declines in energy, mental clarity and start getting a beer gut. Lesson learned - DONT RUN OUT. So many therapeutic applications of this product cannot list here but just consider anything of a degenerative nature could be prevented or alleviated.(intelligent readers know what I'm talking about) I have never written a review other than this but it's so good and I have been using for several years. Note to shipper: Next time don't tape the bottles together. It rips off the labels. Call me OCD, whatever, but I do appreciate my product and bottles to look good. Specially when I'm going to show my friends and family the product. Besides the poor packaging... This product works great! Here's how I personally take it... I take 10 pills, 20 minutes before gym for muscle strengthening. On one bottle My leg press went from a max out of 315 lbs. to over 600 lbs. in only 2 weeks. The stuff is awesome and works! My wife uses it as a meal replacement twice a day at 5 pills and then eats one plant base meal after 5pm. Suggestions: to start, Try 5 pills, 2 times day... 5 in the morning and 5 before the gym and see how that works for you.
