Review: This one works. - I bought this tool hoping it would do a better job than the cheap one I bought at Rona. This one is robust, and more importantly precise. Allowing flaring 3/8 in and 5/8 in tubes well enough for good connections on a r410 tube network for heat pump.
Review: Definitely worth having - I have always shied away from buying the big box store version of this tool because of the inconsistent results they give. Rest assured this is well made and yields excellent, clean flares that seal perfectly every time. UPDATE July 25, 2013 After using this to make a few hundred flares, it has held up well and performed flawlessly. All you have to do is cut the pipe cleanly, squarely, deburr and insert it ever so slightly proud of the block. tighten it down and pop out another perfect flare!
