Full of history, culture, religious behaviours, mystery, violence, romance and much, much more. All is essential to make this a great novel. Yes there are dark moments, yes there is relationship distrust, but all is necessary to indulge the reader in such vivid suspense. The all Alpha male is one complex character, that wants revenge for his family’s thieft of treasured beings and material things. The heroine is an intelligent, lady who is constantly trying to hide her past and faith. When the two characters become involved the chemistry is explosive and dynamic. Previous characters are mentioned in a way that leaves the reader feeling almost updated on their progress. The plot is fantastic and there is no way that you can second guess any outcome, even the ending, although complete, leaves you wanting more knowledge of Nicholas and Acacia. This book takes you from Paris, to Venice. I love all the art references in the book and the story had my heart hammering in my chest at certain points. Acacia Santos is from Brazil, but is now working in the hospitality industry in a prestigious hotel in Paris.
