With the testo 405i hot wire anemometer measure air velocities, temperatures and volume flows. via Bluetooth, the readings are transmitted wirelessly straight to the testo Smart Probes App on your smartphone or tablet. Measuring range- Temperature: -20 to +60 °C Velocity- hotwire: 0 to 30 m/s Operating temperature: -20 to +50 °C System requirements: iOS 8.3 or newer; Android 4.3 or newer; mobile end device with Bluetooth 4.0 Lenght probe shaft: 400 mm Weight: 119.6 g Product colour: black/orange

Review: Dust Collection Balancing Game Changer - I'm on my second one of these. I start up industrial dust collection systems and traditionally use a pitot tube and Dwyer digital manometer. I did several duct balancing trips where I used this and the traditional pitot tube and found this to be extremely accurate and much more user friendly so I now only use this. It has a max velocity of 6,000 FPM, so while it works for traditional dust collection it does not work for high performance applications (like Negative Lift systems). Its minimum temp is somewhere around -10 degF, so it does not work in extreme winter conditions. The bulb is sensitive to buildup, but less sensitive than my collapsible pitot tube. Eventually, the bulb does bend over and even if you straighten it the readings will be incorrect. That's when its time to throw it out and get a new one. Over all, I highly recommend.
